HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHARRELL

On April 5th, Pharrell turned 40. I had the pleasure of attending his party in Miami. His gift was a hand knit retroreflective beanie. I dyed the yarn with kool-aid while on top on a heating pad on top of an amplifier and played his hit song, Everybody Nose. This creates an uneven dye pattern representing the sound waves of the song. It acts as sort of a non computational sound visualizer. Crazy, right?! Below are photos of the beanie. You can see the different colors the yarn is dyed based on the song plays.
