Knitztape x Traplord by A$AP FERG

This project started off as an idea for a limited edition long sleeve shirt for A$AP Ferg utilizing my Knitztape technology that was created for my MFA DT thesis at Parsons.

Knitztape a tool-kit for musicians using a unique fusion of graphic design, digital technology, and music, where a song of theirs is manifested into an individualized pattern. This is achieved through the use of computer algorithms and OpenFrameworks.

The video above is an example of the Knitztape software used for A$AP Ferg x Bodega Bamz “Trap Lords” song. The outcome of the algorithm is then taken and printed on a t-shirt.
